General Dynamics Land Systems-UK, Merthyr Tydfil

Hunter Acoustics were employed by Lee Wakemans in 2015 to undertake a noise impact assessment for the operation of an armoured vehicle testing track at General Dynamics Land Systems-UK’s new site in South Wales.

The facility assembles and tests AJAX armoured vehicles, the UK’s first fully-digital Armoured Fighting Vehicle.

Our work included environmental noise monitoring, source noise measurements, noise map modelling, liaison with the Local Authority and advice on mitigation measures to support a successful planning application.
